What it does
A live cost meter above the prompt: a growing fire bar for session spend, your 5-hour and weekly plan limits, and the cost converted into McDoubles or burritos.
- Shows up
- A three-line cost band above the prompt
- Works in
- Terminal and Claude Desktop
- Commands
- /burn
- Uses your plan
- No
- Changes files
- Nothing
- Network
- None
How it works
- Draws a band above the prompt when a session starts and adds the /burn command
- Notes the session cost each time you send a prompt, to work out what that turn cost
- After each turn, adds its tokens and cost to a per-turn chart
- /burn opens a pane with per-turn cost, or toggles the band
Good to know
- A toast appears when your spend crosses a threshold.
- Your lifetime spend is kept between sessions in Claude Code's own plugin storage.

Are you burning quota faster than the clock? Five-hour and seven-day usage with over- and under-pace arrows, plus a context bar and git diff stats. Reads rate limits from stdin only.
